Most of us are guilty of altering our pictures using filters, I know I can relate. I love filters especially the ones on Snapchat, I use them most times because I want my snap to look bright or fun. But some people can’t take a regular picture that shows exactly what they look like. It’s funny because, you see them in reality and they look like a completely different human just like the effect makeup has on us females.
I don’t have a problem with using filters, you can use them all you want; it’s your photo, your data and obviously your phone but why go through the trouble of making a picture look so perfect and flawless but can’t do the same as a person? Why do we always ensure that when we post a picture on social media, it is a picture that shows our good side, which shows the world what we want it to believe but our attitudes are a total flop!
We are either arrogant, rude, crazy blunt, selfish, petty, epic liars, unfaithful friend/partner, weirdly jealous, backbiters and all other unpleasant things involved. Why can’t we try to filter those characteristics by changing our attitude? Why don’t we want to turn a new leaf? Why do we put so much pride and sass on our pictures but not on our personalities? Why would we rather put up a front for the 1000 likes and comments but have no likes and uplifting comments in real life?
I am not throwing shade at anyone, I have no right to since I am also guilty of being filter addict but instead of trolling on social media, take time out to fix what’s broken in you and make the world a better the place.
