“Deola, please shut- up, you have been crying all night, and you are already looking pale with long neck. It hurts, we all know that. He is probably having fun somewhere, and you are here crying your eyeballs out. Biko Deola, don’t kill yourself. Wipe your tears, dust your blouse, buy a smile and keep it, enjoy your youthful life, because you are a beautiful gem any man should search for”.
Those were words spoken to a friend, who felt the world should come an end today, all because she is hurt.
Okay! Big or not big, you are wonderfully and beautifully made by God.
People who can’t see how pretty, intelligent, God fearing and wife material you are, need not be around you. Stop killing yourself to be slim at all cost. God has made you great.
Okay! Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying you should not make an effort, do some exercise, apply some make-ups, dress well, and be confident. All I’m saying is that after all these, he only sees how big you are, then it doesn’t worth it dear, if you know what I mean.
Your size, cannot determine your blessed home, so be wise dear.
As I sat down in my room all alone, all I could think of was Deola’s tears, her depressed words of how she ought to be like the ladies on the cover magazines. Still in my thought, the Christmas song titled; “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” hit me like a rock.
We all have something within that makes us outstanding and special. We can only be beautiful if we discover that special thing, and let it shine for the world to see.
The story of Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer was written in 1939 by Robert L. May, and was made into a song when May’s brother-in-law, songwriter Johnny Marks, developed the lyrics and melody for it. Marks’ musical version was first recorded by Gene Autry in 1949. Kindly read carefully the below lyrics:
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
Had a very shiny nose
And if you ever saw it
You would even say it glows
All of the other reindeer
Used to laugh and call him names
They never let poor Rudolph
Join in any reindeer games
Then one foggy Christmas Eve,
Santa came to say,
Rudolph with your nose so bright,
Won’t you guide my sleigh tonight
Then how all the reindeer loved him,
As they shouted out with glee,
Rudolph the red-nose Reindeer
You’ll go down in history
Rudolph, had a special nose, no one ever saw. He did not coil himself in a shell, but he carried on with his nose. Rudolph probably did not care if he was different and not as beautiful as the other reindeers, but, believed someday, someone would care and love him.
His dream came to life, when Santa noticed him, and Rudolph made history.
Wipe your tears, dust your blouse, buy a smile and keep it, enjoy your youthful life, because you are a beautiful gem any man should search for.
It hurts, yes it does, to be turned down by the one you love and adore so much. It hurts when all he keeps singing is about your physical size and not your heart. Deola you have tried, and I know there is a special guy out there, who would love you for who you are, and not about what you have or don’t have.
It’s the most wonderful time of the year. Season to merry, share, love, care, give and spread all goodies.
Love yourself, it’s very important, because you would shine bright like a diamond, if you believe you are a special gem.
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE, DO HAVE FUN.
