A smoothie is a fresh blend of fruits combined with a base such as milk, yogurt or water.It is very nutritious and healthy and is a rich source of vitamin c and it is a way to nourish your body with essential vitamins and it can be taken for breakfast, dessert or even for weight loss. I like the fact that so many fruits can be combined together to make a smoothie.
So In order to make a simple smoothie, I checked online different combinations of fruits but in my case came up with combination of pineapple and bananas and then got out my shake and take sports and protein shakes blender which I bought for N3,500 on Jumia and cut my pineapple and removed the skin and then cut it into chunks and put into the blender and then added a bit of water which acts as a base. if you don’t have a fruit machine you could use a blender.
Another thing is that you can alternate and use yogurt, soy milk, cow milk or water as your base which also adds nutrients and flavor without calories so after crushing my fruit in the blender, I put It into the fridge for it to be cold and viola! My smoothie was ready to go.
There are so many places in Lagos to get ready made smoothie which comes at a price of N700-N1200 but if you get a blender and fruits then this is something that would be easy for you to make in the convenience of your home as a starter heading to work or even for the kids who would love it.
